How to calculate the transformer ratio
The current method for measuring the transformation ratio of current transformers is a traditional testing method, which is now widely used in power plants, substations, and other places.
The magnification of the current transformer is related to its transformation ratio and is indicated on the transformer nameplate.
For example:
The primary rated current is 100A and the secondary rated current is 5A, so the ratio of the transformer is 100/5=20. The primary rated current is 200A and the secondary rated current is 5A, so the ratio of the transformer is 200/5=40. The so-called ratio is the transformation ratio. For example, for a 30/5 current transformer with 5 turns of core, the electricity rate is 6.
Number of turns per turn: 1, current ratio: 100/5=20 times
Number of turns per turn: 2, current ratio: 50/5=10 times
Number of turns per turn: 4, current ratio: 25/5=5 times
Number of turns per turn: 5, current ratio: 20/5=4 times
Number of turns per turn: 10, current ratio: 10/5=2 times
