Using Instruction for Hall Proximity Switch
Hall Proximity Sensor/Switch Using Instruction
If the trigger distance between the hall proximity switch and the magnet is too long, a smaller magnet should be chosen. The magnetic induction of each magnet is not the same (unit: T), the relative distance between the hall proximity switch and the magnet needs to be adjusted to find the optimal trigger point and the best distance for installation. Make sure the switch and magnet in a straight line.
Adjustment method:
- Choose the suitable magnet.
Magnet size directly affects the optimal trigger point and the best distance between the hall proximity switch and the magnet. If the relative distance is too long, choose the smaller magnet.
- How to adjust the relative distance between the hall proximity switch and the magnet?
Method A:
When the two central points of the switch and magnet are in a straight line, turn the switch thread. Once the switch LED signal lights, it means the trigger point between the switch and the magnet is found. Turn forward the switch thread a little, then fix on it.
Method B:
Adjusting with graphic instrument or oscilloscope
Connecting the hall switch with the graphic instrument or oscilloscope, make the two central points of the switch and magnet are in a straight line. When the wave showed on the graphic instrument or oscilloscope changes from high-frequency to lower-frequency, and simultaneously the switch LED signal lights, the optimal trigger point and the best distance are found. Fix on the hall switch.
In a word, since the performance of each hall switch and the magnet are not the same, especially when using for positioning, it is required to adjust the relative distance and find the optimal trigger point.
Please refer to the diagrams to make the central points of the switch and magnet are in a straight line; Adjust the relative distance, find the optimal trigger point and the best relative distance between the switch and magnet.
